Serafina’s Red Dress
In the book, Serafina receives a beautiful red dress, which she employs for haunting purpose. I described my vision for the dress in great detail to my wife Jennifer. She’s been sewing it at our kitchen table each night. Today she finished it. I think it’s gorgeous. It has just the right Victorian gothic feel to it. It goes perfectly with the book. Our local prowler Genevieve is modeling it today and her sister Camille and I took the pictures. The gown is made from pure silk taffeta, black satin, and a fine silk red-and-black brocade from England. Click on the photo to see a bigger version.
